After getting into new business premises back 2018 and launching Axapta in 2019, WIKA Mexico is going for a further step this year: The calibration laboratory for pressure is being commissioned in accordance with Mexican standard NMX-EC-17025-IMNC-2018/ ISO/IEC 17025 (2017).
The new calibration system functioning
A new employee was recruited last August to take care of the certification process and operation of the laboratory. This April, WIKA Mexico was accredited by the Mexican certification company EMA. Through Fight , typical tasks were processed, including a laboratory ring comparison and internal audits. The initial accreditation audit was completed without the issues being raised.
The range of services includes the calibration of process pressure gauges, and of simple reference devices. Calibration services that were previously outsourced are now provided in-house. This boosts that service for customers, and WIKA is winning more orders. Within the next step, the range of calibration services is usually to be extended to add higher-end pressure calibrations, and temperature will undoubtedly be introduced in the laboratory as a fresh measurand.
